Biography
Del Bosque, born in 1960 in Sint Agathe-Berchem, grew up as the youngest child in a family with four children. Little Del Bosque looked up to his artistic father who painted several canvases himself. Maria's work is still in the family's possession.
As a little boy, he occasionally accompanied his parents on coffee visits with Paul Delvaux. He immersed himself in the oeuvre of well-known artists and started his collection with lithographs by Salvador Dali, Miró and Picasso, among others. When traveling abroad, he always planned visits to exhibitions, museums and cultural events.
The older he got, the greater the urge to make art himself. Behind his easel he tries out numerous styles and techniques. He finds inspiration in his richly filled life, past and present.
He challenges himself to literally and figuratively paint outside the lines. He practices with different materials and experiments with new techniques. For example, he likes to first add structure for more depth and movement. Bright basic colors give his creations a dynamic and warm appearance. His collection, built up over the years, regularly appears at exhibitions and vernissages.
Del Bosque's mission is to make art accessible to everyone. Every artistic soul deserves the opportunity to purchase works of art. Thanks to the democratic prices, his paintings are regularly given new life in a different interior and Del Bosque can continue to express his inspiration in new works. Each creation into which he puts his heart and soul.
