Biography
Hello, thanks for stopping by. I am Evelin, a Romanian painter from Amsterdam, Netherlands.
I grew up surrounded by art. My father loved to draw and many of his friends were painters and artists, something that had a great influence on my artistic upbringing. As a child, I would draw anywhere I could lay my hands on: chairs, walls, a piece of paper... I was hungry to express my art; it didn't matter where.
I would describe myself as a self-taught artist with an eclectic style who is passionate about painting the beauty of the human body, especially in its feminine form. I started making a large number of portraits and nudes.
I use different techniques and I have experimented with pastels, gold leaf, oils, acrylics and mixed media. I especially love figurative art. Abstract has taken a backseat for years, but now I feel ready to take on new challenges and continue to experiment and grow as an artist.
