Biography
Liedewey grew up in Zandvoort. At an early age she took washed-up materials such as wood, rope, shells, objects, etc. from the beach. This eventually developed into making the wooden structures. All material was found on the beach. The dimensions vary from 20 cm. up to 1.5 meters. She calls these buildings "The Fourth World".
After a period of 10 years in which she mainly focused on portrait and fine painting, she has now returned to mainly abstract painting. She uses oil paint, acrylic, spray cans and lacquer. Many paintings are also provided with text. The frames are made as much as possible from found beach wood.
