Biography
Richart Pintura was born in Saudi Arabia in 1982, but grew up in Almere. As a little boy, RichArt could spend hours in the library learning the great secrets of human anatomy. With this, he laid a wonderful foundation in the technique of drawing portraits early and playfully.
During his youth in Almere he slowly came into contact with the culture surrounding Hip Hop & Graffiti. That is where his fascination with the aerosol can and the associated enriching, motivating and inspiring way of life began.
His fascination with making art further blossomed when he lived with his infirm father at an industrial location in Amsterdam for eight years. Making art under this difficult living situation has meant that he has had to be creative with money and time. He literally got his material off the street. He still continuously applies this approach in his 'RIEScycled' art.
RichArt's social involvement is reflected in its expression. In it he demonstrates his craftsmanship to create unique and beautiful works of art with discarded materials. He has now built up a large collection of figurative and realistic painted portraits and other works.
What makes RichArt Pintura so unique is that his paintings are made using only the spray can. So he doesn't use templates, tape, or a projector. His challenge was to master technique purely from his fingers. No wonder that his works of art have been created over the years with an incredibly steady hand. This intensive working method is reflected in the appearance that RichArt is able to give to his portraits.
He developed this unique style as a self-taught artist. His diversity of assignments ensures that this artist renews himself and learns non-stop. For years he has been giving drawing and spray paint workshops to, among others: children in schools and to young people in youth detentions.
