Biography
I was born in Roeselare (Belgium) on June 2, 1968, where I lived with my parents and 2 brothers until 1990.
My catering life started in 1993, with the opening of my first business and not much later a second. That quickly brought me into contact with my current employer, namely the Bierkasteel (Vanhonsebrouck brewery).
When I quit my first catering business and only ran the weekend cafe, some time became available during the week to go on the road as a representative of Kasteelbier, which took me to the most surprising and interesting places.
When a new Brewery (Beer Castle) was built in 2015, there was room for a caretaker.
Together with my current wife, we became caretakers in the brand new buildings of the Bierkasteel in 2015. We ended up in a very inspiring environment where we now live and work. When I needed urgent heart surgery at the end of 2022, a turning point came in my life. Painting abstract paintings became a passion!
In my paintings I work with bright colors and striking patterns and shapes in general. I apply various techniques from my studio, which is also located in the Bierkasteel. It offers me the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and to continuously develop my artistic talents.
