Biography
Theo Schildkamp has lived and worked in the south of France for over twenty years. Graduated from the Arnhem Art Academy, he worked as an illustrator, painter, designer, author and publicist. His paintings are exhibited nationally and internationally, from France, the Netherlands and Germany to the United States. They are figurative, narrative and alienating and show contemporary characters, usually women, in seemingly everyday situations, often in combination with animals and symbolist or surreal elements. He paints situations that are possible, but not likely.
