Biography
As a child I drew a lot and saw how my father enjoyed painting with oil paint. Ultimately, I only started a drawing and painting course in 2010 and since then painting has increasingly become a passion. For me an ideal way to relax and clear my head. Painting is meditative, for me a bridge to peace. In recent years I have increasingly developed my own style. I have had painting lessons with various artists and attend workshops. I prefer to paint expressive portraits of unknown people, but I also like to paint icons from pop music. I call these paintings “pop heads.” I want to capture the essence of the pop stars, not just their appearance, but also the energy and emotion they radiate. I work with brush and palette knife, oil paint and mixed media. I make colorful paintings, but I often consciously choose to work in powerful black and white. I also paint a canvas upon request.
